We believe it is important for all parties to have a clear understanding of fees. Effective January 1, 2010,
hourly rates are $100 per hour and are subject to review as of January 1 of each calendar year.
- You will not be billed separately for long distance or cellular telephone calls, Internet usage, normal photocopies, normal postage, scanning/E-mailing of documents, parking fees or mileage
expenses.
- You will, however, be billed for out-of-pocket expenses incurred on your behalf such as court costs, filing fees, recording and or conveyance fees, certification expenses, extraordinary photocopying
charges, special notebooks or binders, couriers, overnight delivery services, extraordinary travel expenses, extraordinary postage (i.e. certified mail service/return receipt requested) and EstateVal
(computer program used to research date of death valuations of securities), etc.
- A deposit of $250 will be requested for payment of court costs at the time of opening a new estate, made payable to the Probate Court in the county of jurisdiction.
You will be provided an invoice the first of each month for services rendered, which is due and payable by the 15th
of the month. Please remember that Probate Paralegal Services LLC is working for you, not your client, and payment of fees and expenses is not contingent upon your recovery of fees from the client. Checks should be made payable to:
Probate Paralegal Services, LLC (federal taxpayer identification number provided upon request). Upon completion of services, your entire file will be returned to you.
Normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Extended evening and weekend hours may be available, upon request; however, time incurred may be billed
at a premium rate. All legal holidays are observed. |
