We believe it is important for all parties to have a clear understanding of fees. Hourly rates are $100 per hour and are
subject to review as of January 1 of each calendar year.
- You will not be billed separately for long distance or cellular telephone calls, Internet usage, normal photocopies, normal postage, scanning/E-mailing of documents, parking fees or mileage
expenses.
- You will, however, be billed for out-of-pocket expenses incurred on your behalf such as court costs, filing fees, recording and or conveyance fees, certification expenses, extraordinary photocopying
charges, special notebooks or binders, couriers, overnight delivery services, extraordinary travel expenses, extraordinary postage (i.e. certified mail service/return receipt requested) and EstateVal
(computer program used to research date of death valuations of securities), etc.
- A deposit of $250 will be requested for payment of court costs at the time of opening a new estate, made payable to the Probate Court in the county of jurisdiction.
You will be provided an invoice the first of each month for services rendered, which is due and payable by the 15th
of the month. Please remember that Probate Paralegal Services LLC is working for you, not your client, and payment of fees and expenses is not contingent upon your recovery of fees from the client. Checks should be made payable to:
Probate Paralegal Services, LLC (federal taxpayer identification number provided upon request). Upon completion of services, your entire file will be returned to you.
Normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Extended evening and weekend hours may be available, upon request; however, time incurred may be billed
at a slightly higher hourly rate. All legal holidays are observed.Filings in all courts in Delaware County, Ohio can be accomplished on a daily basis.
Notice regarding the opening of estates in Delaware County, Ohio: Delaware County prefers a "live" person to personally handle the opening of all new cases. This service is
provided by Probate Paralegal Services, LLC for a flat fee of $50 per case. Included in this fee are:
- A meeting with the Clerk of the Delaware County Probate Court to open the new matter
- Payment of the court costs deposit
- Obtaining a case number
- The return of date-stamped copies of all filings by mail in a pre-addressed, postage paid envelope provided by counsel for the fiduciary

insure the matter progresses efficiently. A discount is available for multiple, same day case filings that can be accomplished in one visit to the Probate Court.
Franklin County, Ohio filings are accomplished twice a week, generally on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All other county filings are taken care of on an "as needed" basis. In an effort to conserve
time and fees, we attempt to combine filings for multiple clients; however, occasionally special court runs are required due to last minute filing deadlines.
